No responses to Ill toss one out though we dont run chainsaw mills but one of my employees does.
My input is 60cc will be very slow but possible. If your running hardwoods your processing time for 24" diameter logs is going to be extremely long. Perhaps almost a full day to fully process a 24" diameter hardwood log. You will have tremendous amounts of waste due to the width of cut with the chainsaw and, again, to be clear, it will be slow.
I believe he is running a saw perhaps the same size if not slightly larger, and with setup of a ladder for slabbing, re-sharpening often (even with a ripping chain) he says its painfully slow to saw and they are sawing pine (soft woods) almost exclusively).
We run a bandmill and he now brings all his logs to the mill to saw other than the ones he needs to saw in the woods if he has no way to get them out.
My experience is chainsaw mills are great for logs that are too large for most band mills (but you'll need far more tha 60cc's) and they are good for logs that may be in a difficult spot and its better to break them down in place.
Just my perspective.
