I paid for a listing at an Exchange, and when I try to post my listing, a message says I have 0 listings available. Why didn't my purchase allow me to create a listing?
When purchasing posting privileges for listings at an Exchange, be sure you make your purchase at the Exchange where you intend to create your listing. If you have purchased posting privileges, and are being told that you have no purchases available, you most likely made your purchase at the incorrect Exchange. If this is the case, contact our Webmaster, and be sure to include a brief description of the problem you are experiencing along with your username and/or password. We will review your account, make the appropriate adjustments, and contact you via email.

How do I edit my listing at an Exchange?
Listings cannot be edited. Note: we do provide a "preview" feature that allows you to review your listing (and make changes) before your listing is made public. If you made a minor error in your listing, contact our Webmaster, and include the name of the Exchange, the listing number, and a description of the minor error - we may be able to correct your listing. If the requested changes are extensive, we will delete your Exchange listing, and issue a credit. You may then recreate the listing using the corrected information.

How do I include a picture (digital photograph) with my Exchange listing?
You may include up to 2 digital photos with your Exchange listing. The digital file must not exceed 1 Megabyte in size, and only .gif, .jpeg, and .png formats are accepted. Use the two "Optional Image" fields found in the posting form to include your digital photos. Refer to our Image Preparation Tips for more information about this process.

I'm getting a message telling me that the picture I'm including with my listing is too large. How do I make it smaller?
You can resize your image using an image editing program. One of the best programs for viewing, resizing and otherwise modifying images is Irfanview and it is free. You may also find our Image Optimization Instructions helpful. If you continue to have problems resizing your image, send your image as an email attachment to webmaster@woodweb.com. When practical, we will resize your image, and send you the reduced version.

Why must my email address be entered when I post?

Entering your email address allows forum participants and the WOODWEB staff to contact you directly via email. Please note: your email address is never publicly viewable. You'll notice that the name you enter when you post a message becomes a link. When a forum participant clicks on your name, a form is displayed that allows them to send you an email message. At no point is your email address available to the public.

Be sure to note the guidelines regarding file types and sizes that can be uploaded.

If you are having difficulty including an image with your post, review our Image Optimization Instructions. If, after reviewing these instructions, you still encounter difficulty including an image, contact our webmaster.

I'm looking for an old Forum post that is no longer available. How can I find it?
Older threads at our Forums and Exchanges are either deleted or archived in our Knowledge Base. To find out if the post has been archived, enter search terms in the search box located in the upper right corner of every page at WOODWEB. Choose "Search Knowledge Base" from the drop-down list.
