More efficient workshop set-up

I have a bespoke furniture factory in Shanghai. We work with white oak and walnut. The problem is the time and sweat it takes to process long heavy planks into glued table tops. Our planks are up to 3.5m long, 6/4 or 8/4. A carpenter has to plane them, heft them over to the ripsaw and then pipe clamp them together.
Is there some kind of system where this can be easier on the carpenters. Maybe a better way to move these heavy planks around the workshop? Any advice is appreciated.

This would be my first choice.

There is also a lower cost non-electric version.

I am sure there is some machine/suction cup contraption that exists, but that's what we all did as apprentices..do the heavy lifting. What's wrong with that? Just a mention.

Well Chris, as an apprentice yes it was fine for you to do all the heavy lifting as a learning process. However, this guy is doing a business. Time is money in the corporate world so why bother with manual labour when machinery is readily available in today's advanced era? He also mentioned that the planks they use are heavy and just imagine how much time would be required to stick them together onto tables and storage cabinets and so on.
