In what context?
Production? No.
Small scale creativity? Maybe.

Could be useful for field work where information isn't known until you are on site, sink cutouts, grommet holes, shapes from templates. Would be real useful if you could let it run unattended.

Nope, it's a little toy. Did you see depth of cut? Definitely NOT the future of CNC.

This and other similar gadgets look appealing at first, but a bit of consideration gets you to the point where you realise their limitations. How can you posssibly machine a linked series of features over an 8X4 sheet for example? If you could locate a set of positioning jigs, maybe it would work but then you could probably do the same with a hand held router and it's own similar jigs.A Shop-Bot or similar light duty workshop machine is far more useful and not that much more expensive if you find a good deal on a used machine.

It appears that the coordinates are transferred via the tires, and the accuracy is dependent upon the grip of the tires vs. the resistance of the cutting tool. Maybe a better method would be laser positioning of the cutting tool using technology currently in use with templating equipment. Then the tires are constantly referencing to a point in space, rather than starting from a zero coordinate that's lost as soon as there's any slippage.

Definitely not, but fun for a hobby woodworker.
