Anderson collets

Hi All.
I somehow ended up with some Andi HSK tool holders buy can't figure out what collets they use.
Anyone know?

That would be a SYOZ collet. Pg 101 of our current catalog if that helps any.

Just my own experience, I have noticed that over the years, I have had less tool slippage using the SYOZ style collets vs. the ER40. Not sure if it is coincidence, or if the holding power is greater with this collet. Chuck, do you have data one way or the other?

No, I have no data on that but that is interesting. I will say that most should hold properly if they are replaced regularly, 2-3 times a year, cleaned every time a tool is changed, and torqued to the proper spec when tightening.

The SYOZ25 (RDO35 / 462E) collet offers a longer surface area for the tool shank and the angle is steeper than the ER40 collet resulting in better gripping properties.
