Anybody doing 36 in wide drawers with Blum tandems?
Are the stabilizers necessary?

Yes, a couple a week for a decade. No callbacks at all. Zero. No stabilizers used.

I don't use stabilizers. Not sure if my drawer boxes reached 36" wide, but they are close. I have lots and lots of 32" drawer boxes out there without issues.

I agree with the others. We've done dots of wide drawers without having to use stabilizers. No issues at all. The only time I find I have to use stabilizers is when I'm doing a wide drawer that's only 12" deep. Then the stabilizer bar becomes necessary to keep the drawer in synch with itself as it opens and closes.

Our rule is any opening over 32" gets the stabilizer and we bump up to a 569 slide instead of the 563.
Probably overkill, but I charge for it.

I think Blum recommends the stabilizer on any drawer over 24". That seems asinine.

Me. Blum likes to sell you things you don’t need. I’ve never used one stabiliser. Every few years when looking thru their catalog I notice some new item that nobody uses. Over the years I’ve called our supplier Atlantic plywood and they have never ordered one of them before.

Personally I think they are to wonky to just use tandoms. That was one of the reasons I am starting to use the Grass dynapro. Much better rack resistance, and easy to add the stabilizer bar if needed

We use the tandems as standard, but change to the Grass 3D on 32" and wider. I like the rack and pinion for wider drawers. The Grass are MUCH easier than the Movento.
Tandems work, but they're a little wonkey feeling to me.
