Thought some of you guys might find this useful.
For years I've measured kitchens by drawing a sketch and adding the measurements. Sometimes I would find that there would be measurements that I didnt get, or forget how something looked. Especially when I have a lot of jobs going. For the last year or so I've been taking a few quick pics with my phone which has been a big help. I recently found an app for my iPad that I really like, it's called photo measures. You simply take a photo of the kitchen and drag a line and add the measurement, memo, etc. It has several categories that you can rename to whatever you like, (kitchens, master bath, fireplaces, etc) you can give the the photo the clients name, drag it and drop it in the category. It's very simple to use. No more thumbing through the notebook looking for a certain clients measurements, no more trying to remember what exactly something looked like, or I didnt remember seeing that outlet there...the photo has everything in it. You can download the free version of the app to see if you like it but you can only take two pics with it then you have to buy the actual app but it's only like $7. Well worth it for me.
