Recently, we've gotten questions about how to properly maintain the Pizzi gluing machines and glue dispensing systems. Many gluing systems would have similar maintenance schedules; in particular, the information listed below is for the Pizzi system.
After each use, soak the glue dispensing glue and nozzle in the provided water reservoir.
Daily Care: Nozzles can be flushed out with a provided tap adapter. Wash the glue off the glue gun, especially around the threads and handle.
Weekly Care: Check tank pressure (5 bars / 75 psi); if pressure drops noticeably, check the rubber gasket seal and re-apply pressure.
Monthly Care: Inspect the glue guns for leakage, and identify wearing parts including the glue gun gasket. Perform detailed cleaning and flushing on the nozzles.
Yearly Care: Depending on your shop environment and regularity of maintenance and usage, normal wear and tear may warrant part replacement. Annual replacement part can include the rubber gasket (on the tank lid) and sub-components of the glue guns. In some cases, it’s more effective to replace the whole glue gun and save the existing one for parts.
Proper maintenance will allow the Pizzi system to run properly and last longer.
