I purchased a new CNC recently. I also bought a second 10HP Becker pump for extra hold down. However, the machine has been delivered and still the second pump has not arrived. I am being told that the second pump may or may not fit under the frame. If not it would be installed behind the machine. I would like to see it underneath (seems like a cleaner package) but I have been told that having 2 pumps under the table will produce too much heat and they can be damaged. Anyone have any experience with this issue?

I would imagine that would be a good bit of heat, my big concern would be the dust build up and lack of clean (out of sight, out of mind) I have mine at 7 feet from machine behind a sound proof wall, we have some to open the door a bit because if we cannot hear it some have been known not to turn it off !!
I like to use an compressed air wand and keep them clean

We have our pumps under the outfeed table and are looking to move them. They make too much heat.

We have a 40hp screw and put it out in a shed near the building. We had a 10hp Becker on our first router. Wasn't enough and was loud. Hence our shed idea. Shed has a big ventilating fan and recirculates the air back into the shop in cold weather. Almost all of the electricity used turns into heat.
