Curious if anyone is using a Brush Sander (such as Quickwood) and what grit you might be using on HARD woods such as maple. I am sanding to 180g on a widebelt then through the Quickwood at 150g but the Quickwood 150g is leaving noticeable scratches which show up when stained.

What model of machine are you running? That might help me narrow down the best course of action.

When you come out of the wide belt the p150 grit on the QuickWood machine is fairly course. Suggestion would be to use a p220 SIC for the job. The QuickWood machine will not remove cross scratches from the wide belt but it should not leave new scratches. Give us a call in the office for help 1-866-888-5858
