I'm surprised 10hp is enough. I've got 20hp on a factory made horizontal bandsaw that only cuts 8.5"

Keep in mind this saw was designed for texturing only. We re sawed the beams on woodmizer 1st. I take off no more than i/8" per pass with the frankensaw. This is half the blade kerf. However I have resawn piles of 2 x 6 soft woods with it, no issues. We also have a 7.5hp vertical band saw, i can run 8" all day through it. Provide d blade is sharp and feed rate is slowwww.
