We specialize in custom furniture, cabinetry, bookcases and more. We offer old world craftsmanship and personal service.

I began my shop as a hobby about 10 years ago and gradually found neighbors and friends asking for help and advice. Soon I found I was doing business on the side after my regular job. I also found that there was a need for specialty help with restoration or architectural woodwork and as this service was not available in my area, I quickly became the resident expert on all types of things wooden.

I started officially about a year or two ago, working part-time. I started full time only recently (April or May 08) and I now work independently as a one man shop. After starting my day with a cup of Joe, I begin a variety of tasks in the shop such as designing, or my preference - milling and cutting stock for projects or go out to meet perspective clients and see the enviorment for the job.

In terms of my future I want to produce a portfolio that will allow me to market myself, skills, and furniture to a more exclusive (lucrative) market and to expand my small, tiny shop space. My shop is on my property and I own it outright so the overhead is the right price. I am taking on as much as one person can to make it in the wood business. It's not easy but it's enjoyable (at least for now).

I wish you the best of luck. I've been a custom cabinetmaker in Israel (Galilee) for almost 40 years now, so I know it's no picnic. Remember to enjoy the ride.

Chaim, Nice work! One thing I noticed was that you bottom mounted you drawer bottoms. Unless you have height restrictions or are using alot of glue, or are using bottom ount drawer guides,The bottoms will eventually fall through. I typically will groove the sides of my drawers just to keep this from happening. Then again I use side mount guides unless otherwise specified. Good luck to you my friend. You can see my shop which is listed as Williamsons Woodwork Design a few pages back in the shop gallery.

Nice work, nice little shop. What kind of power is available in Israel? Is it 220 v ? Does the Bosch TS work on that or did you use a converter of some sort. Also, how do you like the combo machine? I've long considered getting one for site work, don't know anyone with ine though. I don't buy anything without thorough research. Anyway, very nice work, love that Zebra wood.
