We have an operation that covers over 4-acres located on the border of Puyallup and Tacoma Washington under the shadow of Mount Ranier. We are a multifaceted operation providing custom �mill cut� and �hand split� wood products.

On site for the hand split wood products we have a nwe2005 log splitter capable of splitting logs from 3-foot up to 14-foot. The primary function of the splitter is to quarter the cedar logs for hand splitting in to the products below.

We also have a Woodmizer saw mill for custom cut hard and soft wood beams, lumber etc.

1995 LT40hd Woodmizer bandsaw

This particular bandsaw mill is used primarily for softwood products specializing in custom cutting of old growth red and yellow cedar blocks, cants and slabs catering to the novice and professional wood carvers. Some of the most noted Native American wood carvers in the country come here or have shipped the wood for their carvings. Four to five times a year we sell whole totem or canoe logs for the Indian wood carvers who are doing projects for their tribes other tribes and or museums, private individuals, commercial buildings and casinos. While there is some stock inventory on hand, most of the wood is custom cut to the artist specs. A growing portion of our business is the small boat making market. Up here in the Puget Sound there a good number of schools who teach the art of boat building.

2006 lt40hd Woodmizer bandsaw with setworks and debarker

Another Woodmizer bandsaw but newer model is computerized to provide the operator the ability to cut to more �exact� specifications. This bandsaw is used primarily for the hardwoods. Over the 4+ acres we have log decks situated, separated by type of wood featuring but not limited to the trees that grow here in the northwest.

This mill cuts the standard thickness woods most in demand. Our market here is the hobbyist and professional furniture maker, gun stock maker, bow maker, architects, builders of high end homes, wood lathe operators and some schools that come here as a resource.

The cuts from this mill are put in to one of the many kilns on premise and dried based on the type of wood it is then put in to what we call �the barn� where it is placed standing upright, sorted by wood type. Our buyers come here and spend hours going through the barns to find the �right� piece for their projects.

Lucas 825 with slabber mill

Logs that are too large for the band saw mills are cut into cants using this mill then put on the bandsaw mills for further cutting or they are left as cants and kept in storage pending another project.

Kilns

Vacuum kiln one has a 200 board foot capacity.
Vacuum kiln two has a 200 board foot capacity.
Vacuum kiln three has a 2000 board foot capacity.

Dehumidifier kiln one will handle up to 21 foot boards 4000 bf.
Dehumidifier kiln two will handle up to 21 foot boards 4000 bf.
Dehumidifier kiln three will handle up to 21 foot boards 6000 bf.

molding operations

We recently installed a sunhill no 314 molding machine. With this we are able to run materials up to 12-inch wide and 3-inch thick.

Other equipment includes two planers, floor belt sander and two forklifts.
