Norman , great looking piece , did you run a bead in the top arches ? is the articulated arm attached to the wall ?
Thank you Charles and Dennis. We run the bead on the straight frame and apply the bead on the curved top rails. We use glue and pin nails. With the equipment we have it saves time to do it this way and looks good. The TV is attached to the wall.
It looked better before it was stained
Harry, if you would like one without the stain we can certainly make one for you. Both my customer and I were very happy with the finish as it is flawless. It also is our most poplar finish for white oak furniture.

They tend to leave oak as natural as possible over here, they would not stain it
By over here do you mean Europe? The European White Oaks that I have worked with in the U.S. have a darker brown cast than most of our local white oak. The stain on the Entertainment Center brings the color of the Oak close to English Brown Oak which was the first choice of wood But at 5 to 6 times the cost of domestic oak it was not in the budget for this job. There are examples of natural White Oak finishes as well as English Brown Oak with a natural finish in some of my other project listings.
Looking at the different pics I don't think it's a bad color. I think it has more to do with the different light sources. When it is in your shop it looks like a classic white oak stain, but in the other pics it almost has a little red in it which looks strange. It could be an optical illusion or maybe I'm nuts.
