Description
Responsible for performing and tracking all preventive maintenance and scheduled service of factory machinery and equipment. Responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical, compressed air and mechanical systems.
Essential Functions:
• Performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs to all production, processing and plant equipment, including: mechanical systems, pneumatic components, electrical controls, and circuits.
• Be able to read schematic diagrams of electrical and mechanical systems, comprehend instructions, correspondences and effectively present information.
• Uses basic understanding of PLCs, HMI, VFDs and other automated controls to ensure plant equipment is functioning properly.
• Resolve both hardware and software related problems with HMI systems as issues with individual software packages arise.
• Can operate simple shop equipment (i.e., drills, saws, grinders, and sanders).
• Work outside of scheduled production hours on occasion to repair damaged machinery in order to reduce impact on production.
• Promptly responds to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
• Must be able to work well with others and take direction.
• Will train machine operators in their minor maintenance tasks and follow up to see that they have been completed.
• Will work closely with Safety Committee to ensure safe work environment.
• Maintain and repair small tools, electrical cords and compressed air hoses etc.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required. Must be 18 years of age. Previous production equipment maintenance experience preferred. Valid driver's license required.
Working Hours: Full time, 40-hours per week; shift hours vary. Overtime as needed. May be called upon to work outside of normal scheduled work hours on occasion for equipment repairs.
