We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all incoming and outgoing shipments, as well as oversight of local deliveries. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. There will be times when driving and making deliveries is needed in this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Receiving
Receive incoming shipments, verifying the accuracy of items received against packing lists or purchase orders, and scanned into MRP software.
Inspect incoming materials for damage or defects and report any discrepancies.
Prepare outgoing shipments, including packing, labeling, and coordinating shipments with MRP software.
Responsible for the storage and organization of materials and products.
Assist in inventory management by conducting regular cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies.
Delivery
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely delivery of products.
Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks to move materials.
Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance tracking of delivery vehicles.
Operate all box trucks with lift gates.
Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area, adhering to safety guidelines and practices.
Communicate effectively with internal departments and vendors.
Ability to drive a 24 foot box truck
Responsible for maintaining company vehicles to ensure safety and regulation guidelines.
Experience required:
Proven experience in a shipping and receiving role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 40 pounds
Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks (certification preferred)
Proficiency in basic computer skills, including MS Office applications and shipping software
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to shipping and receiving activities
Flexibility to work occasional overtime or weekends as needed

Salary: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
