Block + Chisel is a well-established cabinet manufacturer serving the luxury residential kitchen and bath market. Our work can be found all over the East Coast and internationally and is frequently awarded and published. We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our growing team. Experience in AutoCAD is a basic requirement for technical detailing. Experience in Cabinet Vision is desirable but not required. 3-5 years of kitchen and bath design experience is required.
Responsibilities: Work directly with customers and present yourself in an organized and professional manner. Interpret architectural drawings and field verify dimensions for accuracy. Gather specifications for all appliances, plumbing, and electrical to be incorporated into the design. Prepare technical drawings to conform to the client/interior designers vision and evaluate for efficiency. Strong problem-solving skills will ensure an efficient design process. Assist clients with material selections and construction details as needed. Maintain accurate and complete project folders and details for all projects. Exceptional attention to detail and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Prepare specification sheets with all pertinent information required for manufacturing. Meet with general contractors on site as needed to ensure all parties have a thorough understanding of the design intent, and that mechanical rough-in's conform to the layouts. Meet with our manufacturing team to ensure all information necessary for manufacturing is provided. Communicate scheduling with clients or general contractors/project managers. Meet with installation teams as needed to ensure accurate installations.
Compensation & Benefits: $70 - $90k per year commensurate with experience. Paid Personal Time Off plus Holidays (+/- 4 weeks total). Health Insurance coverage. Retirement plan with company match.
