Our team of designers and fabricators work together to produce distinctive products that make our company one to rely on over the years. If you are a manager that can effectively organize, plan and communicate tasks to an assigned team of workshop staff while monitoring the day-to-day production, we are looking for you.
Primary Responsibilities:
Planning and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the woodworking shop Including monitoring workload and providing solutions to ensure targets are met and any risks are mitigated.
Hiring, training, leading, supervising, and evaluating employees.
Developing and organizing employee work schedules per job requirements.
Developing appropriate shop procedures and addressing employee disputes, questions, and concerns.
Managing and accounting for all aspects of materials and inventory.
Motivating employees to meet production goals, quality requirements and provide excellent customer service.
Interpreting and managing project details from drawings through to completion including ordering materials, producing cutting lists, assembly, finishing and wrapping.
Establishing an appropriate Quality System to manage the quality of all workshop output continually encouraging improvements.
Monitoring employees performance. Coach and mentor members of the team offering regular feedback to employees as required.
Ensure compliance with health and safety and company policies and procedures.
Establishing and ensuring appropriate housekeeping is maintained at all times.
Effectively handling and resolving customer concerns and complaints.
Complete any other tasks as directed by senior management.
Experience & Skills Requirements:
Strong leadership and management skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
Basic knowledge of computer software (i.e. windows, Microsoft Office, Google).
Experience with interpreting shop drawings through manufacturing processes to completion (including assembly, finishing and packaging.
Knowledge and experience of workshop environment and woodwork machinery is essential.
Strong customer satisfaction focus and experience.
Strong decision-making skills.
Prior Supervisory/Management experience required.

Must be willing to submit to a criminal background, credit check, and drug test.
Education & Certification Requirements:
4 year college degree REQUIRED, BS engineering preferred.
