Description
Studio Woodwork is a millwork engineering firm specializing in meeting the needs of upscale Architectural Woodwork companies throughout the country. We are currently seeking an individual with experience producing highly detailed submittal drawings for client approval. The ideal candidate will have experience engineering corporate interiors for a medium or large millworker and possess some hands-on shop or installation experience.
*Applicants must have experience doing internal redline corrections.*
Responsibilities:
- Lead a small, dedicated project team and ensure high quality drawing standards are met.
- Conduct hand-off meetings with our engineers and provide support throughout the duration of the project.
- Perform a thorough internal redline review of all submittal drawings related to the project.
- Manage internal project schedules, provide billing support for accounting, and assist with project setup.
- Direct communication with our client’s project lead regarding requests for information to resolve fabrication, design and functionality issues.
- Review architectural drawings and specifications to understand fabrication requirements as well as design considerations for the project.
- Represent Studio Woodwork in client hand-off meetings and regular Teams communication with the client throughout the duration of the project.
Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of experience engineering high-end commercial and high-end residential millwork in a workplace environment.
- General knowledge of stone and metal fabrication.
- Exceptionally strong mechanical/problem solving skills.
- Extensive experience reading architectural drawings and specifications.
- Effectively communicate with our clients and our team via phone, email, and teleconference.
- Track record of excellent performance, attendance, punctuality, and strong work ethic.
- Thoroughly check work for conformance to company and project related drawing standards before internal submittal.
- Ability to meet submittal deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Fluent in Windows 10/11, Microsoft Outlook, AutoCAD 2018 or AutoCAD Lt 2018 or later, and Bluebeam REVU.
About the Position:
- This is an in person, full-time position at our Fort Mill, SC office. Relocation may be considered for the right candidate

- Annual pay is $55K-75K per year plus company benefits
