Pay: $50 - $60/hour Based on Experience
Hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (Flexible, 40 hours/week). Optional 4 day work week.
Facility: 17,000 sqft. facility with mezzanines, 1200 sqft. finishing area, and a paint booth
About Us:
Aloha and welcome to Kauai Fine Woodworking! We are a custom cabinetry and millwork shop nestled on the beautiful island of Kauai, HI. Our team has recently moved into a spacious facility, complete with a newly finished 1200 sqft. finishing area and paint booth. We specialize in creating hand-stitched, custom, veneered cabinetry, paneling, and interior doors. Our close-knit team of about 10 skilled craftsmen works together in a focused, challenging, yet fun environment.
Position Overview:
We’re looking for two Lead Woodworkers to join our growing team. If you have at least 5 years of experience in a high-end woodworking shop and are passionate about your craft, we’d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage woodworking projects from start to finish
Work with exotic veneers, ensuring precision and perfection
Understand and interpret shop drawings
Set up and operate woodworking machinery
Oversee and assist team members, ensuring quality and efficiency
Install custom cabinetry and millwork as needed
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in a high-end woodworking shop
Extensive experience with exotic veneers
Detail-oriented with a commitment to perfection
Proficient in understanding shop drawings and cabinet hardware
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to set up machinery for others
Installation experience preferred
Self-starter with a deep understanding of complex woodworking concepts and engineering
