Summary
-Responsible for the overall successful operation of the production floor, ensuring that production targets are met, and that the production process is efficient and sustainable.
Responisibilities
-Keep all departments informed of production status.
-Prepare production reports on performance and progress as needed.
-Troubleshoot to identify and resolve issues that arise during production.
-Support estimating in development of required hours for projects/operations.
-Improvement of manufacturing processes, utilizing lean processes when necessary.
-Schedule and engage in project kick-offs and closeouts for seamless handoff to production.
-Manage and supervise all remote warehouses whie supervising shipping & receiving on production floor.
-Organize and create continuous workflow through the production floor, utilizing Innergy to optimize workflow.
-Maintain maintenance schedules, general shop and vehicle up-keep, including the purchase of needed tools and tooling.
-Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and assign tasks to production employees, while guiding and coaching all direct reports.
-Communicate and coordinate with project coordinator, project managers, and engineers to meet customer expectations and deadlines.
-Successfully move project work orders through production via the accurate scheduling of labor and resources on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
-Follow all safety policies, guidelines and procedures, ensuring and enforcing that the production workspace is safe and clean, and that equipment is used safely and maintained regularly.
Requirements
-Minimum five years’ experience in production supervisory role in a custom furniture / fixtures and architectural millwork MFG environment.
-Possess solid communication skills and communicate effectively and professionally with direct reports, vendors, customers, and colleagues.
-Aptitude for creating and implementing best practices to streamline production to improve efficiencies and strengthen the organization.
-High-school diploma or equivalent required & Bachelor’s degree in business management, or equivalent preferred.
-Possess excellent problem solving, multi-tasking, time management and organizational skills.
-Ability to overlap projects to effectively execute and manage available resources.
-Strong computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office, Innergy ERP systems).
-Capacity to make accurate and quick judgement calls.
-Follow an initiative-taking philosophy and approach.
-Prioritize needs and adapt to changes with ease.
-Proficiency in reading architectural drawings.
