log lathe

First of all I don't know if this is the right place to post so if it isn't can the mods move it for me. Iam building a log lathe and was wondering if anyone else out there has ever built one and would share some ideas and or experiences?

I have a "log lathe" attachment for a table saw, which works fine for up to around a 6" diameter piece. I'd be very interested to see what you come up with.

It is called a "cylinder mill". They have a web site and several youtube videos that give a good idea how it works. I works a lot better than you think it would.
